When and how is the onboarding fee charged?
The onboarding process refers to the steps involved in getting a property listed on the platform and setting up the necessary tools to manage bookings effectively. This process helps hosts to understand how to use Holidu’s platform and get their properties ready for rental.
The onboarding fee is deducted from the payout of your first booking. It is charged at the property level, which means it applies even if the booking is cancelled.
If you have multiple properties, the fee is charged for each one. The amount will be deducted before we send you the payout for the booking, and a separate invoice for the onboarding fee will be created. You can find this invoice in your "Invoices" section.
At Holidu, we work with a "balance concept". This means that if a booking with an already processed payout gets cancelled, you don’t have to refund the money to us. Instead, we’ll deduct the amount from your next booking, and the onboarding fee will remain in place until we can deduct it from another booking.

To check if the onboarding fee applies to your Holidu account, please follow these steps:
- Log in to your Holidu account: Log in for hosts .
- Go to the More section in the upper right corner.
- Click on Account and then go down to the bottom of the page where you will find Your Holidu agreement.
- Click the Dowload button next to Your Holidu agreement.
