How do I verify my account as an incorporated partnership (GbR or Grundstücksgemeinschaften) ?
Important: This process can only be completed by the host. (primary holder in Holidu)
We’ll guide you step by step through the simple verification process. Depending on your account setup, if you're an individual or sole proprietor, please follow the link at the bottom of the page. The process is secure, and you’ll need to provide certain information in a safe, online environment.

1. Verify Your Partnership (GbR) Details
Before You Start: Have these documents ready:
- Partnership (GbR) registration number
- Proof of registration (e.g., certificate of registration or trade register extract)
- ID document(s) of the legal representative(s)
- Tax ID document (not always required)

Steps:
1. Log in to Your Holidu Account
- Log in and go to the ‘Account’ tab.
- Click ‘Validate’ to start the process.
Note: You might be asked to sign a new agreement. Just accept to continue (this won’t affect your pricing).
2. Select Your Company Type
- Choose the type of company you’re verifying (e.g., Incorporated partnership, Private Company, Public Company).
3. Enter Company Information
- Fill in your partnership (GbR) registration number and VAT number (if you have one).
- If you don’t have a VAT number, select “Don’t have a VAT number.”
- Enter your company address using the search field. The address will autofill the relevant fields.
4. Upload Required Documents
- Proof of Registration: Upload a recent extract from the trade register or a similar document. Ensure it’s clear and legible.
Where to find business registration details: You can find this on an official registration document issued by the relevant authorities in your country, and it should be no older than 12 months (or contain a recent date). - Tax Document (if required): Upload a tax document showing the partnership’s name and tax ID, issued by your country’s tax authority.
5. Review and Submit
- Double-check all the information you’ve provided.
- Click ‘Submit’ to complete this step.
2. Verify Decision Makers/Legal Representatives
Before You Start: Have these ready:
- Address details of the decision-makers/legal representatives.
- ID documents (passport, driving licence, or national ID).
Steps:
1. Add Decision Maker Details
- Add personal details for at least one signatory (the person legally authorized to sign for.
- Enter their address using the search field. It will autofill the fields.
2. Verify Identity of Decision Makers
Instant Verification (highly recommended):
- Select the country of issuance and document type (passport, driving licence, or ID card).
- Scan the QR code with your phone and take clear photos of the document for immediate verification.
Manual Upload:
- Choose the document type and upload high-quality photos of the document.
- Click ‘Next’ to submit. This may take up to 72 hours for verification.
3. Verify Your Payout Details
Make sure the bank account holder’s name matches the company name provided earlier. Please be aware that Bank accounts should be owned by the same name of the partnership (GbR) you registered on the previous step. Bank accounts under the name of the legal representatives or decision makers cannot be accepted for the company verification.
Choose one of the two verification methods:
Instant Verification (highly recommended, not available in Greece, Austria & Italy):
- Search and select your online banking provider.
- Log into your bank account via Tink, our trusted partner. Rest assured, your banking login details are not stored — they’re used only for verification.
Manual Verification:
- Enter your bank details and upload a recent bank statement (issued within the last 12 months). The statement must show the company’s name, IBAN, and for non-EU residents, the bank location.
- Click ‘Next’ to submit. Verification may take up to 72 hours.
4. Sign the Service Agreement
- Read through the service agreement provided by our payment partner, Adyen.
- Once ready, click ‘Sign’ at the bottom of the page to complete this step.
5. Complete Verification
- If you used Instant Verification, you should see the status update immediately.
- If you used Manual Upload, the process may take up to 72 hours.
The verification status in your Holidu account will be “In Review”.
Since the payment provider platform is not designed to complete validation of GbR partnerships, it's imperative you reach out to us as soon as possible so we can speed up the process. Although we will do our best to have your verification done as soon as possible, we ask for your understanding that it may take up to 2 weeks until the process is completed.
